We are profoundly saddened by the tragic helicopter crash that occurred yesterday afternoon in Adansi Sikaman, Adansi Akrofuom District, Ashanti Region, resulting in the loss of dignified government appointees, party executives, and crew members. These individuals were exemplars of integrity, kindness, and loyalty, making significant contributions to Ghana’s development. Their presence illuminated those around them, and their absence will be deeply felt. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families, friends, and colleagues of the eight distinguished Ghanaians who perished. We also convey deepest sympathies to President John Dramani Mahama for the loss of dedicated public servants. This national loss will be remembered for their dedication, service, and sacrifices.
“We urge government to as a matter of urgency launch a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash and to take all necessary steps to enhance the safety of official air travel going forward, to avoid the repetition of such tragedies in future.
