In a heartfelt message to the former President, the association lauded his exemplary leadership in appointing qualified Muslims to key positions in public service.

According to the association, notable appointments such as Hon. Muntaka Mubarak, MP for Asawase Constituency; Hon. Haruna Iddrisu; Hon. Muntala Mohammed; and Shamima Muslim, who serves as Deputy Presidential Spokesperson, signify President Mahama’s dedication to creating an inclusive government that recognizes and empowers individuals from all backgrounds.

“Your leadership sends a powerful message of unity and equality, promoting a culture of tolerance and understanding,” the association stated in their message.

The President of the Association, Mr. Umar Harris, further highlighted the significance of these appointments, emphasizing how they reflect the invaluable contributions of Muslims to Ghana’s development. He also commended President Mahama for fostering a governance system that prioritizes merit and diversity over partisanship and division.

In addition, the association expressed optimism about the potential appointment of Alhaji Mustapha Abubakar to lead the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) and Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim Gado Watara to other strategic roles in government.
