The Deputy Minority Leader and Member of Parliament for Asokwa, Hon. Patricia Appiagyei, actively participated in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) nationwide membership registration drive this past Sunday.

During her tour of various registration centers within the constituency, Madam Appiagyei officially updated her membership at the Meat Market “A” polling station, located near the Asokwa Church of Pentecost.

Observers noted that the process was notably efficient, characterized by a seamless flow and a lack of congestion at the centers.

Credible Database:

Hon. Appiagyei affectionately known in the constituency as “Mama Pat” emphasized that the exercise is vital for the party’s future.

She noted that a robust registration drive allows the NPP to build a credible, centralized database, which is essential for:

Strategic Planning:

Accurately identifying the party’s strength nationwide.

Electoral Preparedness:

Developing data-driven programs and campaign strategies.

Internal Democracy:

Ensuring members are eligible to contest for party positions.

“This is a crucial democratic exercise,” the Asokwa MP stated.

She also noted that, “I urge all members and sympathizers to register at their respective polling stations. Being captured in the database is the only way to ensure you can participate in party activities and seek leadership roles.”

Mobilization and Logistics Support:

Following her registration, the MP held a strategic meeting with constituency executives and the 14 electoral area coordinators of Asokwa.

She charged the leadership with ensuring a thorough mobilization process to guarantee that no member is left behind.

To facilitate the success of the drive, Hon. Appiagyei announced a significant resource package totaling approximately GH₵50,000 in cash and goods, distributed as follows:

Support Provided to Polling Stations GH₵18,500 in direct financial support.

Constituency Executives GH₵10,000 for logistical oversight.

Electoral Areas had 14 bags of rice and 14 megaphones for public education.

The provision of megaphones is intended to enhance grassroots communication, ensuring that every resident in the 14 electoral areas is informed about the ongoing exercise.
