The Ashanti Regional Minister, Frank Amoakohene, has demonstrated his strong commitment to youth empowerment and value-based education by purchasing sixty copies of two inspirational books authored by Jonathan Ebo Quaye to support students and promote a culture of reading and moral discipline.

The gesture took place during the official book launch ceremony held at the PENSA Auditorium of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, where the two publications—Classy but Decent: Lessons for Young People and Silencing Audio Porn: Guarding Your Mind Against Degrading Music—were unveiled to the public.

The event attracted students, clergy, academics and invited guests, all gathered to celebrate literature aimed at addressing moral and social challenges confronting young people. The books emphasize the importance of discipline, modesty, self-control and intentional living, particularly in an era influenced heavily by digital media and evolving cultural trends.

In his remarks, Dr. Amoakohene underscored the significance of nurturing not only academically competent students but also morally upright individuals who can contribute meaningfully to society. He stated that investing in the intellectual and ethical development of young people remains one of the most strategic steps toward building a responsible and visionary generation.

By purchasing sixty copies of the books for distribution to selected students, the Regional Minister reaffirmed his belief in the power of knowledge and mentorship as tools for transformation. He encouraged the beneficiaries to read the books thoroughly, reflect on their teachings and apply the lessons in their daily lives.

Dr. Amoakohene commended Pastor Jonathan Ebo Quaye for his dedication to guiding young minds through faith-based teachings and practical life lessons. He described the author’s initiative as a timely intervention that aligns with broader efforts to promote character development and positive youth engagement across the region.

The ceremony concluded with a renewed call for parents, educators, religious leaders and policymakers to collaborate in fostering reading habits and reinforcing values that promote discipline, integrity and national development. The Minister’s support served as a clear testament to his commitment to shaping a morally grounded and intellectually empowered future for the youth of the Ashanti Region.
