Ashanti Region: Man in His Fifties Murdered Over Land Dispute
Tragedy struck in Kensere, Bekwai Municipality, as a man believed to be in his fifties, identified as Yaw Acheampong, was brutally murdered in what eyewitnesses describe as a violent attack linked to a land dispute.

According to eyewitness accounts, Mr. Acheampong had gone to a piece of contested farmland to carry out routine farming activities when unknown assailants allegedly hired by a litigant in the land dispute attacked him. The motive behind the attack appears to be directly connected to ongoing tensions over land ownership in the area.
Residents of Kensere have expressed shock and concern over the killing, calling for justice and a swift resolution to disputes that have increasingly led to violence in the community.
The Bekwai Municipal Police Service have confirmed that investigations are underway. They are appealing to anyone with information about the incident to come forward to assist in apprehending the perpetrators. No arrests have been made as of now.
