The Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon Simon Osei Mensah has assured that the Region is more than prepared to welcome the President,Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo on Tuesday August 17, 2021 for the sod cutting of Agenda 111Hospital projects to take off at Trede in the Atwima Kwanwoma District in the Ashanti Region.
The Agenda 111 is one of the initiatives of the President to provide Hospital facilities for 111 Districts across the country.
President Akufo Addo in one of his Coronavirus updates last year mentioned that his government would build 111 District Hospitals to improve healthcare delivery in the country.
During his recent visit to the Bono Region, the president assured Ghanaians that funds had been secured for the projects.
The Ashanti Region is expected to receive 16 District Hospitals plus one Psychiatric Hospital out of the projects.
Hon Simon Osei Mensah appealed to the people in the Region to be patient and have confidence in the president because he will not disappoint them.
The Minister was impressed with the grounds preparation when he visited the project site with the DCE, Hon. Nana Okyere-Tawiah Antwi who noted that the people of his District are excited about the historic event
Honourable Osei Mensah in an interview with Wontumi Radio news correspondent, Nana Fokuo Dwomoh advised the public to adhere to the COVID-19
Protocols.
He revealed that a jingle has been made to be played on the various FM Stations and other media networks for public education on the need to observe the protocols and cautioned those who will be caught for not observing them will be arrested and prosecuted.
