The Ashanti regional police commander, COP Akwasi Mensah Duku has commended the zoomlion Ghana limited for their committed towards the covid-19 fight. He however thanked the zoomlion for disinfecting various places including the police abode.
The commander said this during the Tuesday’s disinfection exercise beginning a 3 day schedule for the Ashanti region. The exercise which began in place like the Ashanti regional police command, regional police training center, Asokwa municipality, Regional Coordinating Council(RCC) on Tuesday is expected to complete on Thursday with the other places within and outside Kumasi.
Speaking to the media after the exercise at the regional police command, COP Akwasi Mensah Duku expressed worried over how some people still don’t want to obey the covid-19 protocols despite the upsurge and seriousness of the virus.
He however took the opportunity advise the general public to comply with the covid-19 protocols.
Mr. Benedict Awuah, Public jobs manager for the Ashanti east zoomlion speaking to the media revealed that the zoomlion is set to disinfect 84 places within the Ashanti region in their 3 days exercise.
He mentioned that places outside Kumasi such as the
Ejisu municipality, Mampong, Kumawu, Sekyere east, Sekyere south, Sekyere Kumawu, Sekyere Afram plains, Juabeng, Ejisu, etc are all included.
He however took the opportunity to plead with authorities within such places corporate with the zoomlion whenever they visit their doorsteps to disinfect the place.
“We plead that every community/area corporates with us even if we make mistakes in our prior arrangements. We all in this fight together”, he concluded.
