Asarekrom residents cry over absence of chief.

A residents of Manso Asarekrom in the Amansie West District of the Ashanti region have expressed worry about absence of substantive Chief in the area has been a hindrance to the development of the community.

Residents says, the community has been
without any developmental project after 5 years without a substantive Chief.

Spokesperson for the residents, Mr Adusei Poku disclosed to the media in an interview at a press conference that, lawlessness has been the order of the day as the community lacks leadership to spearhead the community.

They expressed their worries about this situation and are therefore appealing to the Asantehene to help enstool a Chief in the community to spear development.

He added that, Pakyi No l chief Nana Agyei Owusu Ababio has brought someone from no where as their chief who he don’t qualify to be as their chief in the Asarekrom community

They are appealing to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to allowed them to bring somebody from community to be a new chief for Asarekrom Community.

However, some of the Asarekrom residents also made humble appealed to the Overlord of Asanteman, Otumfuo Osei-Tutu II to help them get a regent or chief for the community.

The youths and Residents numbering over three hundred registered their frustrations called for the installation of a chief for the community.

They noted that the community
had been without a chief for the past 5 years.

They are therefore pleaded with the Asantehene to help the community get a chief as soon as possible, adding that without his input nothing good can come out of the issues worrying the people of Asarekrom.
