Asaman, Konya, Brehoma diaspora Association provides 100 street bulbs

Asaman, Konya and Brehoma natives base in Germany have provided 100 street bulbs to the people of Konya Brehoma community of Ashanti Region.

The donation forms part of the natives social responsibility, contributing towards the development of their local communities.

Speaking to an Executive Member of the Association, Mr. Kwabena Osei Wusu, based in Germany stated that, they came to support their community with these bulbs due to the town roads that they heard the government is coming to do for their community which most of this light poles will be affected during the construction of the town roads.

He said, they are motivated by government effort in constructing the town roads, hence the need to organize themselves, set up some funds to relocate such poles for the contractor to get access in commencing the project.

He stressed the need of providing the bulbs due to darkness in most places within the communities which treathen security effectiveness at the area.He disclosed that, 40 of the 100 hundred bulds were sent to Konya and Brehoma where the remaining 60 were given to the people of Asaman.

He reiterated donation will strengthen the unity among diasporas citizens from Asaman, Konya and Brehoma to help develop the community for the good of all.

Hon. George Osei Asumaning, the Assembly Member for Konya-Brehoma electoral area and Chairman for Asaman area Council commended the Association for their gesture, explained their challenges concerning the street bulbs where the one they are being given by the Assembly are not enough but called on residents of Asaman, Konya and Brehoma who resides in abroad should learn from what their brothers and sisters have done to come and support them as the government can’t do it alone.
