In a remarkable show of support for the economic empowerment of women, Annette ReachOut Mission, in collaboration with the Member of Parliament (MP) for Manso Adubia Constituency, Hon. Yaw Frimpong Addo, has extended financial assistance to market women at Manso Dadease in the Amansie South District.
The initiative, which took place at a well-attended event in the community, saw the provision of an undisclosed amount of capital to support the business ventures of the market women. The financial aid is aimed at boosting the local economy, enhancing the financial independence of the beneficiaries, and improving their ability to sustain their livelihoods.
Speaking on behalf of the MP, the Chief Executive Officer of Annette ReachOut Mission, Madam Antoinette Fosu Boakye, underscored the MP’s unwavering commitment to the empowerment of women in the constituency. She explained that the initiative forms part of a broader strategy by Hon. Yaw Frimpong Addo to create opportunities for women, particularly those engaged in small-scale trading, to achieve economic independence.
“We recognize the important role that market women play in our local economy, and we are committed to supporting them to become self-reliant. This financial assistance is intended to help you grow your businesses and improve your quality of life,” Madam Antoinette Fosu Boakye stated.
She further advised the beneficiaries to use the funds wisely, ensuring that their businesses thrive and become sustainable. “It is important to make prudent use of this capital so that you can grow your businesses, become financially independent, and in turn, support your families and the community,” she added.
The beneficiaries, many of whom had been struggling due to limited capital, expressed their profound gratitude to Hon. Yaw Frimpong Addo and the Annette ReachOut Mission for the timely intervention. They described the support as a lifeline that would enable them to expand their businesses and improve their financial stability.
One of the beneficiaries, Madam Abena Yaa, a trader at the Manso Dadease market, shared her excitement, saying, “This support has come at the right time. My business was on the verge of collapse due to a lack of capital, but now I can restock my goods and serve my customers better. I am very grateful to the MP and Annette ReachOut Mission for this help.”
Another beneficiary, Madam Akosua Serwaa, added, “It is not easy for us as women in the market, but with this assistance, I can now grow my business. We appreciate this gesture, and we pray for more blessings for Hon. Yaw Frimpong Addo and Madam Antoinette Fosu Boakye.”
