Angry mob beats murderer to death after killing Jos man with a knife

The jungle justice victim and his friends were said to have stabbed a man to death.

Some angry youth have beaten a yet-to-be-identified man to death at Yan Doya community, in the Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The deceased alongside his peers on Saturday, October 29, 2022, stabbed a man walking along the road with a knife, which led to the latter’s death.

Upon hearing about the incident, the youth in what appeared to be a reprisal attack gave the stabbers of the pedestrian a hot chase.

The youth eventually caught up with one of the hoodlums and beat him to death.

“An incident happened yesterday night (Saturday) behind Yan Doya Market by Yan Ganda in the Jos North LGA.

“A man was walking back home when a group of thugs attacked him with a knife. He fell and died.

“When some people heard what happened, they ran after the thugs, who fled the scene. However, one of them (thugs) was caught and beaten to death,” an eyewitness stated.

It was gathered that while some policemen later arrived at the scene and took away the corpse of the suspected hoodlum, the relatives of the stabbed man took him away for burial on Sunday, October 30.

Meanwhile, students of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, Ogun State, have started a fundraising campaign to release their colleagues who were abducted.

Two MAPOLY students, Adejare Olayemi (male) and Oluwatobi Orekoya (female), and one Aminat Taiwo (female), were on Friday, October 28, kidnapped on their way to Ibadan, Oyo State, alongside a former Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan (UI), Professor Adigun Agbaje.

The students and the professor were reportedly picked up near the Sat Guru Maharaji Garden, Ibadan end of the expressway.
