An American based Ghanaian and former student of Asanteman Senior High School in the Ashanti Region, Nana Mr. Davis Yaw Aboagye has a big time donation to his former school’s sports department.
Items donated by Mr. Aboagye who was part of the year 2007 leavers includes Medical supplies, detergent, bags of rice, oat and a cash donation of GHc. 1,000.
The donation was done on behalf of Nana Davis Aboagye by another Old student, Nana Frank Dwumfour who also supported the school with about 400 pieces of sanitary pads and pantyliner.
The donation forms part of his efforts to motivate the sports team as they begin their journey of the Inter-Schools and Colleges athletics Super Zonals competition.
In a brief message read on behalf of Nana Davis Yaw Aboagye, he encouraged students in sports to take lessons seriously unlike previous perception that sports persons do not need too much education to make it in life.
Receiving the items of the School’s sports team was Headmistress in charge of Domestic, Mrs. Georgina Osei thanked Nana Davis Yaw Aboagye and Nana Frank Dwumfour for their kind gesture describing it as a timely intervention ahead of the Super Zonals competition.
Mrs. Osei further called on other old students and corporate bodies to emulate the same and support the school.
