The District Chief Executive for Amansie West, Hon. Prince Manu Morris, has undertaken an on-site inspection of the ongoing Omanadwaye–Mim Junction road construction as part of efforts to assess progress and ensure quality delivery of the project.

The inspection tour formed part of the District Assembly’s routine monitoring activities aimed at ensuring that critical infrastructure projects meet required standards and are executed according to approved specifications. Accompanied by technical officers of the Assembly, Hon. Manu Morris interacted with engineers and workers on site to acquaint himself with the scope of work completed so far and the challenges confronting the project.

Speaking during the inspection, the DCE expressed concern about the overall state of road infrastructure in the Amansie West District, noting that poor road networks continue to affect economic activities, access to markets, and the general movement of people and goods within the area. He stressed that improving road connectivity remains a top priority for the Assembly, given its direct impact on livelihoods, trade, education, and healthcare delivery.

Hon. Manu Morris reiterated the commitment of the government to addressing the long-standing road challenges in the district, expressing optimism that ongoing and future interventions would significantly improve transportation and stimulate local economic growth. He assured residents that the Assembly would continue to engage relevant agencies and contractors to ensure that projects such as the Omanadwaye–Mim Junction road are completed within schedule and to the highest standards.

The DCE further urged the contractor handling the project to adhere strictly to safety measures and quality benchmarks, while encouraging community members to cooperate fully to facilitate smooth execution of the works. According to him, community ownership and support are essential for the successful completion and sustainability of development projects.

Residents along the road corridor welcomed the inspection, describing the project as critical to easing transportation difficulties, especially during the rainy season. Many expressed hope that the completion of the road would open up the area, reduce travel time, and boost commercial activities.

The Omanadwaye–Mim Junction road is expected to improve connectivity within the district and serve as a catalyst for socio-economic development upon completion, reinforcing the Assembly’s broader development agenda for Amansie West.
