Amansie South Best Farmer Urges Safe Driving and Hard Work During Christmas Festivities
Elder Efo Zagi Kodjo Dodji, a prominent farmer and businessman from Manso Takorase and the 2025 Best Farmer in the Amansie South District, has urged commercial motorbike riders to exercise caution during the Christmas festivities to help prevent road accidents.

Speaking to the media during a three-day Christmas celebration at Manso Kensere Nkwanta, Mr. Zagi Kodjo Dodji stressed the need for road users, particularly okada riders, to prioritize safety and avoid reckless riding. He noted that the festive season should be marked by joy and togetherness, not tragedy caused by preventable accidents.
The award-winning farmer also advised Ghanaian youth to shun the pursuit of quick money and instead embrace hard work, discipline, and perseverance as the surest path to sustainable success. He emphasized that genuine progress and long-term achievement are built through dedication and honest effort.
Mr. Zagi Kodjo Dodji further expressed appreciation to the government for the recent increase in cocoa prices, describing the move as a significant relief to cocoa farmers across the district. However, he pointed out that one of the major challenges confronting the farming sector is inadequate staffing at local agricultural offices, which limits effective support and extension services to farmers.
He concluded by appealing to the appropriate authorities to address the staffing challenges in the agricultural sector to enhance productivity and improve livelihoods within farming communities.
