Amansie Onua DƆ FUN CLUB Marks Five Years of Selfless Service to the Needy and Community Development
The Amansie Onua DƆ FUN CLUB has marked its fifth anniversary with a grand and colourful celebration at Pakyi in the Amansie West District of the Ashanti Region, commemorating five years of dedicated service to the needy, vulnerable, and less privileged members of society.

The anniversary celebration, held under the theme “The Love for the People through Donation,” brought together residents of Pakyi, members of the FUN CLUB, business men and women, building contractors, and several distinguished guests, including the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Amansie West, Hon. Prince Manu Morris. The event served as a platform to reflect on the club’s achievements, reaffirm its mission, and strengthen collective commitment to community development.

Addressing the gathering, the Founder of the Amansie Onua DƆ FUN CLUB, Mr. Yaw Gyamfi, underscored that the club was established on the principles of compassion, unity, and selfless service. He explained that the core mission of the FUN CLUB is to support the needy, vulnerable, and less privileged in society, including prisoners, orphanages, and underprivileged schoolchildren, while actively promoting sustainable community development and seeking the welfare of others.

Mr. Gyamfi disclosed that, as part of its recent interventions, the club donated educational materials to five schools within the area to support teaching and learning. He noted that over the past five years, the FUN CLUB has carried out several impactful initiatives, including donations to vulnerable groups, community volunteer activities, and advocacy on critical development issues affecting Pakyi and its surrounding communities.

According to him, the club believes that true development goes beyond infrastructure and must focus on improving lives through care, empathy, and collective responsibility. He therefore encouraged members to remain united and committed to the club’s vision, while appealing to well-meaning individuals and organizations to support the FUN CLUB to expand its outreach and impact.

Mr. Gyamfi also used the occasion to draw attention to leadership challenges in Pakyi, noting the absence of a substantive traditional authority to champion development efforts in the community. He appealed for steps to be taken towards addressing the situation to help accelerate development. Additionally, he advised the youth to refrain from drug abuse and embrace hard work, discipline, and skills development to secure a better future.

Several dignitaries who graced the occasion also shared goodwill messages. A prominent building contractor, Mr. Osei Robbert, popularly known as Agyasei, urged the youth to acquire employable skills and engage in productive ventures rather than waiting on government for jobs. He emphasized the importance of hard work and time management as keys to financial independence and personal growth.

The Chief Executive Officer of Dosonec Hospital and DHI College of Health and Education, Madam Agnes Ayea Mensah, commended the FUN CLUB for its consistent support for the needy, underprivileged students, orphanages, prisoners, and community development initiatives. She described the club’s work as laudable and impactful, and pledged her support by indicating her intention to join the Amansie Onua DƆ FUN CLUB.

Also speaking at the event, Hon. Paul Kusi, Youth Organiser for the Manso Nkwanta Constituency, congratulated the club on its five-year milestone and prayed for its continued growth and sustainability. He urged members to remain united and steadfast in championing development and advocating for the welfare of vulnerable groups in society.

In his remarks, the DCE for Amansie West, Hon. Prince Manu Morris, commended the leadership and members of the FUN CLUB for their unwavering commitment to social service. He described the club’s focus on supporting the less privileged as a valuable complement to government’s grassroots development efforts. He further encouraged other community-based organizations to emulate the FUN CLUB’s spirit of volunteerism, unity, and social responsibility.

As part of the anniversary activities, certificates of appreciation were presented to individuals and organizations that have contributed to the growth and success of the club over the past five years, reflecting the FUN CLUB’s culture of gratitude and inclusiveness.

The celebration concluded with renewed pledges by members to continue working tirelessly to uplift the needy and contribute meaningfully to socio-economic development in Pakyi and beyond. As the Amansie Onua DƆ FUN CLUB looks ahead, it remains firmly committed to building stronger and more resilient communities through compassion, service, and community-driven development initiatives.
