Alhaji Habib Sualah Saeed Assumes Ɛkyɛm Zongo Stool, Promises Schools, Jobs, and Partnerships for Community Growth

Alhaji Habib Sualah Saeed has officially assumed the stool of Ɛkyɛm Zongo Chief in the Ejisu Municipality of the Ashanti Region, pledging to champion unity, promote education, and spearhead development initiatives aimed at improving the living conditions of residents, particularly the youth.

Speaking at his enstoolment ceremony, the new Chief highlighted the pressing need to address unemployment among Zongo youth, describing joblessness as one of the major challenges confronting the Ɛkyɛm community. He emphasized that meaningful development cannot be achieved without empowering young people through skills training, education, and employment opportunities.

The Chief also vowed to make education a cornerstone of his leadership. Expressing concern over the absence of a government school in the Ɛkyɛm community, he described the situation as a significant setback to the future of the area’s children. Alhaji Habib Sualah Saeed assured residents that he would actively lobby relevant authorities and stakeholders to establish a government school, ensuring that children in the community have access to quality education.

In a call for unity, the Chief urged residents to set aside personal differences and work collectively for the progress of Ɛkyɛm. He stressed that peace, mutual respect, and cooperation among community members are essential for sustainable development, noting that division and personal interests only hinder community growth.

Further, Alhaji Habib Sualah Saeed announced plans to partner with non-governmental organizations and other development-oriented institutions to bring social and economic interventions to the community. These collaborations, he explained, would focus on education, youth empowerment, infrastructure development, and creating job opportunities for the youth.

Mr. Sulaman Sharif Iddris, representing the Ashanti Regional Zongo Chief at the ceremony, congratulated the newly enstooled Chief and urged him to lead with wisdom, humility, and dedication. He encouraged Alhaji Habib Sualah Saeed to place strong emphasis on education and youth employment, stressing that these priorities are critical to addressing the socio-economic challenges facing Zongo communities across the region.

The enstoolment ceremony was attended by traditional leaders, Zongo elders, youth groups, and residents of Ɛkyɛm, all of whom expressed optimism that the new Chief’s leadership would usher in a new era of unity, progress, and sustainable development for the community.
