Wednesday, May 1, 2024, the NPP Parliamentary candidate for Tamale South Constituency, Alhaji Fuseini Musah has commenced work on the dredging of the Chanshegu dam in the Fooshegu Electoral Area.
This dam served the good people of Dohini, Chanshegu, and other nearby areas until the dam dried up forcing residents to commute several miles in search of water for use at homes and work purposes.
At the groundbreaking ceremony yesterday at the dam site, the revered Elders from the Chief Palace, opinion leaders, some Constituency Executives, Electoral Area Coordinator, some Party patriots, and some residents were present to witness the momentous commencement of work on the dam.
This particular dam is part of several dams already dredged or completed in Kobilmahagu, Gavulga-Kakpagyili, Jakarayili, Bamvim, Kalariga, Kukpegu, and other communities dams earmarked to be dredged to aid the good people in the Tamale South Constituency facing water shortage.
The Elders from the Chief Palace conveyed and expressed their utmost joy, excitement, and happiness for this great intervention from the workaholic Alhaji Fuseini Musah as a timely response to their call for the work that has begun.
Additionally, the Constituency Secretary represented the Chairman and the Parliamentary candidate and added his voice by highlighting the work done so far by Alhaji Fuseini Musah and others to alleviate the plights the people are facing in the Constituency which required urgent attention.
The residents, in conclusion, expressed their delight and pledged to work and collaborate with Alhaji Fuseini Musah from the start of the work to the end and encourage others to rally behind him going forward in the December 7 Parliamentary and Presidential elections.
