On Saturday, April 6, 2024, the action-oriented NPP Parliamentary candidate for Tamale South Constituency, Alhaji Fuseini Musah commenced the dredging of the Bamvim dam in the Bamvim Electoral Area.
The dam that served the surrounding areas in Bamvim has dried up forcing residents to commute several miles in search of water for domestic and household activities.
In a short ceremony at the dam site, the NPP Constituency Chairman and some Executives on behalf of the candidate monitored and spearheaded the groundbreaking dredging of the dam for the good people of Bamvim and its surrounding areas.
The Constituency Chairman spoke on behalf of Alhaji Fuseini Musah and expressed his utmost excitement and happiness for the start of this project among others which two have completed and handed over to the people.
In addition, on Sunday, April 7, 2024, the venerable Chief of Bamvim, Nyab Bamvum Lana visited the dam site to have first-hand information on the progress of work done and thanked the Chairman and the Parliamentary candidate for coming to their aid since the water is a basic necessity for people, especially women, and children.
In summary, the women and children also conveyed their profound gratitude and appreciation to Alhaji Fuseini Musah for the show of astounding leadership qualities for the laudable initiatives embarked upon to safeguard the people from these hardships.
