Alan Kyerematen Promises Government of National Unity to Address Power Arrogance in Ghana

In a significant address during a mega a walk in Kumasi today, Hon. Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, the presidential candidate for the Movement for Change, pledged to establish a Government of National Unity if elected as President of Ghana. Kyerematen emphasized that the prevailing “arrogance of power” among the current political elite has created a rift within the nation, hindering progress and unity among Ghanaians.

Addressing a crowd of enthusiastic supporters, Kyerematen asserted that true governance should be inclusive, representing all segments of society. He proposed a coalition government that would incorporate representatives from all political parties, religious leaders, business executives, farmers, and other stakeholders. This, he believes, will foster collaboration and ensure that diverse voices are heard in the decision-making process.

“We are tired of the arrogance of power that has characterized governance in Ghana. It is time for a new approach—one that brings together all Ghanaians, regardless of their political affiliations, backgrounds, or professions,” Kyerematen declared. “A Government of National Unity will ensure that everyone has a stake in the governance of this nation.”

Kyerematen pointed out that many of Ghana’s pressing challenges—such as unemployment, corruption, and inadequate infrastructure—can only be effectively tackled through collective effort. By uniting the country’s various sectors, he believes that innovative solutions can be developed to address these issues and promote national development.

“We need to work together to solve the problems facing our country. The challenges we face are not limited to one political party; they affect all Ghanaians,” he said. “As president, I will create a platform where ideas can be shared, and solutions can be crafted collaboratively.”

Kyerematen also stressed the importance of accountability in governance. He stated that a united government would help eliminate the culture of impunity and ensure that public officials are held accountable for their actions. He pledged to create mechanisms that will promote transparency and integrity in government operations.

“Under a Government of National Unity, there will be no room for corruption or abuse of power. We will establish a system where leaders are answerable to the people they serve,” he promised.

In closing, Kyerematen urged all Ghanaians to join him in this vision for unity. “Let us come together as one people with a common goal—building a prosperous Ghana for all. Together, we can overcome the arrogance of power and create a government that truly serves the interests of the people,” he concluded.
