Akatakyie Fraternity Celebrates Major Milestones with Unveiling of New Projects on Campus

Earlier today, the Akatakyie fraternity gathered on campus for a momentous occasion that marked the commissioning of three significant projects, each contributing to the improvement and development of the campus and the lives of students. The events were celebrated with great enthusiasm, bringing together members of the Akatakyie family, staff, and local dignitaries.

The first of these major projects was the unveiling of a state-of-the-art 250 KVA generator, generously donated by the O Year Group as part of their 50th Anniversary Entry Project. This powerful new genset is a monumental gift to the campus, ensuring that there will be no interruptions to campus activities due to power outages. With the ability to support the entire campus, the generator will play a critical role in enhancing the learning and living environment for students and faculty alike.

Next, the Akatakyie fraternity celebrated the refurbishment of the Visual Arts block, an initiative led by the W/O 200+ Year Group as their 50th Anniversary Exit Project. The refurbished facility, which will provide improved spaces for the arts and creative work, serves as a testament to the group’s commitment to supporting the academic and creative development of the students. The upgraded block is expected to foster a more conducive environment for students pursuing art and design, enhancing their overall educational experience.

The third highlight of the day was the official handing over of the St. Peter House Annex, a new three-floor dormitory block. This facility was constructed by Kat. Charles Kwame Kodua, Z16, as part of his ongoing commitment to supporting the Akatakyie fraternity and improving student life on campus. The annex, which will provide comfortable and modern living spaces for students, includes 300 beds to accommodate the growing student population. This generous contribution ensures that students will have access to quality accommodation in a conducive and comfortable environment.

The commissioning ceremonies were graced by several distinguished guests, including the Archbishop, the Regional Director of Education, the Board Chairman, the Headmaster, and his staff. The Akatakyie Global Executive, various Akatakyie year groups, the Parent-Teacher Association (P.T.A.), and students also participated in the events, marking the significance of the day.

In a statement, the Akatakyie Global Executive Council (GEC) expressed their deep gratitude to all the individuals and year groups that contributed to these remarkable projects. “On behalf of the fraternity, we extend our heartfelt thanks for this wonderful gesture. We are truly grateful for your generosity, and we pray that God continues to bless you all for your unwavering commitment to the development of our beloved institution.”

The successful completion of these three projects is a testament to the strength of the Akatakyie fraternity and their dedication to improving the campus for the benefit of students, faculty, and the entire school community. As the projects are inaugurated and put into service, the legacy of these contributions will continue to resonate for years to come.

With these new additions to the campus, the Akatakyie fraternity once again proves that their commitment to the future of the institution remains as strong as ever.
