Ahafo Ano South West DCE Launches Thank-You Tour, Promises 24-Hour Market and Major Infrastructure Projects

The District Chief Executive (DCE) of the Ahafo Ano South West District, Hon. Abubakari Sadiq, has launched a district-wide thank-you tour with a firm assurance to deliver major infrastructural projects, including the construction of a 24-hour market complex, to accelerate development and economic growth in the area.

Speaking at Adadekrom during the commencement of the tour, Hon. Abubakari Sadiq said the exercise was to express his heartfelt appreciation to party members, traditional authorities and residents for their unwavering support, while also engaging them on his development agenda for the district.

The DCE acknowledged that despite efforts by successive governments, several communities within the Ahafo Ano South West District continue to face significant development challenges. He identified education, healthcare delivery, road transportation, rural electrification, sanitation and access to potable water as key areas requiring urgent attention.

According to him, the district needs strategic and transformative infrastructural interventions that will improve the living conditions of residents and stimulate economic activities. He assured the people of his readiness to contribute his best efforts in any capacity to address the developmental needs of the district.

Highlighting some ongoing and planned initiatives, Hon. Abubakari Sadiq announced that preparations are underway for the sod-cutting ceremony for the construction of a 24-hour market complex. He explained that the project is expected to enhance commercial activities, create jobs for the youth and boost the local economy.

The DCE further emphasized that his administration remains open and inclusive, inviting residents, opinion leaders and stakeholders to share ideas and proposals that will help drive the development of the district. He called for unity and collective support, stressing that sustainable development can only be achieved through collaboration.

“I am committed to bringing development closer to the people, and with your support, we can transform this district,” he assured.

Also speaking at the event, the Vice Chairman of the constituency, Hon. David Mawuli, encouraged the youth not to lose hope despite prevailing economic challenges. He urged them to maintain confidence in the government, assuring that plans are underway to create employment opportunities for the youth in the coming days.

The thank-you tour is expected to continue across several communities in the Ahafo Ano South West District, providing a platform for engagement, accountability and renewed commitment to development.
