AFIA KOBI TRADERS ASSOCIATION FIGHT T.K BRAIMAH FOR CLAIMING OWNERSHIP OF THE MARKET.

Nana Afia Kobi Market (Abinkyi market)Traders Association have registered their displeasure over impressions created on social media platforms including some radio stations that the court of law has ruled in favour of Mr T.K Braimah and Co.as the legitimate owners of the Nana Afia Kobi Market.

According to the Association such speculations are not true and a complete fabrication and a defeatish tactics and that the true owner of the land is the King of the Ashanti Kingdom Otumfour Osei Tutu ll.

Addressing a press conference to debunked the speculations ,the Spokes person for the Association ,Mrs Janet Boamah said the Asantehemaa has appointed Nana Fameye to represent her and work in collaboration with the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly to make the market a vibrant one.

She further hinted that the court has restrained T.K Braimah not to do any thing contrary to the directives of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly who has the mandate.

She further warned Mr T K Braimah to desist from claiming ownership of the Afia Kobi Market because per documents and tradition the market belongs to the Asantehemaa hence any one must desist from claiming ownership of the land.

We the members of the Association support the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly and the Ashanti Regional Minister Hon.Simon Osei Mensah for their significant roles which has paved way for trader to fill empty spaces in the market.

Mrs Boamah cautioned the traders to desist from given out receipt and documents to any one claiming to be working for Mr.T K Braimah because anyone who does so does it at his or her own risk.

Were further calling on the self acclaimed owner of the Afia Kobi Market to meet we the Members of the Association at Manyhia palace to prove his ownership of the market otherwise he must keep mute because the market belongs to the Asantehemaa according to the Asante trading.
