Abuontem Chief Pledges to Complete Delayed Community Park Despite Funding Challenges

The Chief of Abuontem, Nana Akomea Sakyi Tutu Ampam II, Otumfuo Brempon, has given strong assurances to residents that the long-awaited community park will be completed, despite current financial challenges that have slowed progress.
In a statement to the community, Nana Akomea Sakyi Tutu Ampam II acknowledged that while work on the park has begun, including the installation of goal posts, the project has faced delays. He explained that limited funds have been the main obstacle but emphasized that the completion of the park remains a top priority in his developmental agenda for Abuontem.
The chief appealed to residents to exercise patience, assuring them that every effort is being made to mobilize the necessary resources to finish the park. He further encouraged community participation, urging residents to engage in communal labour to help prepare the grounds. He revealed that the grass seeds required for the park have already been procured and are ready for planting once the area is cleared.
Nana Akomea Sakyi Tutu Ampam II highlighted the importance of the park as a recreational and social hub for the youth and the entire community. He expressed his commitment to ensuring that the park not only serves as a venue for football and other sports but also strengthens community cohesion and development.
Through his pledge, the chief seeks to reassure the people of Abuontem that the project is progressing, even if at a slower pace than expected.
