In a remarkable show of unity and community spirit, polling station executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Aboabo Kesse, a community in the Atwima Kwanwoma Municipality of the Ashanti Region, organized a massive clean-up exercise over the weekend.

The initiative, which drew dozens of party members, residents, and youth volunteers, was aimed at improving sanitation in the area, promoting healthy living, and demonstrating the NPP’s commitment to grassroots development.

Former Minister of Defence and Member of Parliament for Atwima Kwanwoma, Hon. Kofi Amankwah Manu, graced the event and commended the polling station executives for taking the lead in such a vital communal activity. He emphasized that beyond politics, the welfare of the people should always remain a top priority. “This clean-up exercise is not just about making Aboabo Kesse clean; it’s about showing leadership and unity. When the community comes together like this, it sends a powerful message that we are committed to building both a cleaner environment and a stronger party,” Hon. Amankwah Manu said.

The MP also took the opportunity to urge NPP members to maintain peace and unity ahead of the party’s 2026 presidential primaries, stressing that collective effort and loyalty to the eventual flagbearer would be crucial for the party’s success in the 2028 general elections.

During the exercise, Hon. Manu addressed community concerns about the dangers posed by speeding vehicles along the Aboabo Kesse highway. He assured residents that he would engage relevant authorities to ensure the construction of speed ramps to protect pedestrians and reduce accidents.

Hon. Dr. Emmanuel Asuah Dadzie, Assembly Member for the Kwanwoma Electoral Area, praised the polling station executives and participants for their dedication to both sanitation and community service. He noted that initiatives like this strengthen the bond between political leadership and the people.

Residents of Aboabo Kesse welcomed the clean-up initiative, describing it as timely, especially as sanitation-related challenges have been a growing concern in the area. Many expressed their hope that similar exercises will be sustained to ensure lasting improvement in the community’s hygiene and environment.

The event concluded with a renewed call for unity, not only in ensuring a cleaner community but also in strengthening the grassroots structures of the NPP as the party gears up for future electoral contests.
