Ghanaian football legend Abedi Ayew Pele along with his family, visited the family of the late Christian Atsu to offer condolences following the passing of the 31-year-old player.
The whole of Ghana as well as football lovers and sympathisers are mourning the death of Atsu whose mortal remains was transported to Ghana on Sunday evening.
The 31-year-old was one of the unfortunate victims who lost their lives following the earthquake that struck Turkey a fortnight ago.
Abedi Pele whose two sons, Andre and Jordan Ayew shared the same dressing room with Christian Atsu, while representing the Black Stars in a number of competitions, commiserated with the family of the deceased in their home.
The three-time African Footballer of the year, together with his wife Maha Ayew as well as daughter Imani Ayew touched down at the late footballer’s residence to express sympathy and console the family at the residence of Atsu.
All three donned black outfits to mark the sadness of the period.
Over the weekend Jordan Ayew paid tribute to Atsu while playing for Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
