The new chief of Atwima Besease, Nana Aboagye Asare II has been counseled by the Kumasi Traditional Counsel to be afraid, chary, and respectful when dealing with the oath of Asantehene and Asanteman as a chief.
He was also opined to settle all disputes in his family by unifying all factions to be one and also to seek the progress of his town, Atwima Besease, and the progress of his people.
This counsel was given to the chief during his oath of allegiance to the occupant of the Golden Stool, Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace today, April 28, 2022.
All the divisions in the Kumasi Traditional Council took their turn to also counsel Nana Aboagye Asare II before swearing the oath of allegiance to Otumfuo.
Kontire Division: “Be afraid of Otumfuo’s oath and never play with it. The Atwima Besease stool has been vacant for a long time leading to the underdevelopment of the town, so work hard to lift the image of Besease once again”.
Akwamu Division: “Respect the oath of Otumfuo, unify your family and the town, and seek its progress.
Nifa Division: “Be careful with the people you are going to work with and don’t’ let your queen regret choosing you”.
Adonten Division: “You are always at Manhyia Palace during Asanteman sittings, therefore you are privy to everything here and what our king wants us to do as chiefs, so if you don’t perform your duties very well, then it’s deliberate”.
Benkum Division: “Respect the oath of Otumfuo and listen to his wise counsels too to be able to rule well.
Oyoko Division: “Fight for the development of your town to regain its lost glory.
Kyidom Division: “Since you are swearing with Otumfuo’s oath, respect it. Fight for the development of your town”.
Gyase Division: “You know what is going on in your town, listen to all advice given to you”.
Ankobea Division: “Development must be your priority. Let the needs of your people be your prime concern”.
Manwere Division: “Humble yourself always, and respect Otumfuo’s oath’.
Nkosuo Division: “Go and serve Otumfuo and your people in truth”.
Akyeame Division: “Unite your town and your people. Serve well and be obedient”.
