The MTN–Ashanti Fest, organised by the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council in partnership with MTN Ghana as proud sponsor, is a comprehensive cultural and development initiative aimed at promoting tourism, celebrating the rich heritage of the Ashanti Region, and fostering community engagement. Over the past week, the festival has featured a series of impactful activities, including a regional U-17 football tournament, a vibrant food fair showcasing local cuisine, and a street art festival that transformed the Asokwa Interchange into a colourful exhibition of creativity.
The street art initiative, spearheaded under the leadership of the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, brought together visual arts students from various senior high schools in Kumasi to create murals celebrating Ghanaian culture, honouring local heroes, and highlighting notable landmarks. The project has significantly enhanced the city’s visual appeal while fostering a renewed sense of pride among residents.
Saturday’s concert also marks the grand climax of the Ashanti Fest Trade Expo, which has run throughout this year’s Ashanti Fest activities, providing a platform for businesses, artisans, and entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services while boosting economic activity within the region.

With anticipation reaching a fever pitch, residents and visitors are gearing up for what promises to be a memorable night of music, culture, and entertainment at Heroes Park, Kumasi. The Ashanti Fest Music Concert is expected not only to deliver top-tier performances but also to reinforce Kumasi’s reputation as a vibrant cultural hub and a key destination for major events in Ghana.
