I, Abdulai Abdul-Razak, following extensive consultations, do hereby formally declare my intention to contest for the position of Secretary of the Tamale South Constituency.
As a dedicated, loyal, and committed member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP: Development in Freedom), I previously contested for the Constituency Secretary position in 2023.
Although I was unsuccessful, my commitment to the Party’s cause motivated me to continue serving the NPP across all 23 electoral areas in the Tamale South Constituency.
Notably, I was appointed acting communication officer after the departure of the substantive appointee from the NPP in April, 18, 2024.
As part of my responsibilities as a communication officer, I demonstrated great respect, humility, and openness in the discharge of my duties.
Utilizing my writing expertise, I effectively communicated the Party’s accomplishments and campaign activities in the lead-up to the 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
This helps to improve and also spread the Party’s activities in the Constituency across the country, and it became the centre of discussion before the 2024 elections.
Many would ask why the Secretary position instead of the communication officer since it has become an elected position.
Interestingly, the administrative set-up of the Party in the Tamale South Constituency needs a great paradigm shift and with the knowledge and experience gathered.
I am very well positioned to change the current dynamics of the NPP through innovative and smart thinking policies and strategic programmes.
No doubt, the administrative set-up of any political Party is its engine and as the political landscape is evolving we need great minds to change the current narrative of leadership.
I have gained a wealth of experience having worked for some of the Party’s starwalts for the past years in my political career as an active Party person in good standing.
Moving forward, I have a strategic plan and policies outlined to help propel the image of the NPP in the Constituency to make history since the inception/formation of the Constituency in 2004.
The theme for my campaign is “Smart collaboration for a new paradigm shift” with seven thematic areas to tackle to ensure victory for the NPP in the Constituency.
In conclusion, I call on esteemed Party faithful to rally support behind me to change the current narrative of the Party in the Constituency.
I’m ready to serve with dignity, respect, commitment, hard-work and perseverance to bring all on board to deliver victory for the NPP.
