Mr. Kelvin Gyamfi, Ashanti Regional Treasurer of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG), is calling on districts to elect leaders who will put members’ welfare and the Association’s interests first in the ongoing district executive elections in the Ashanti Region.

The incumbent regional executive, who is eyeing the regional chairman position, emphasised the importance of this mandate, stating that the chosen leaders should champion the causes of members and advance CLOGSAG’s objectives.

The elections, starting 1 April and ending 13 May 2026, will see CLOGSAG’s Ashanti Regional Executive supervising a transparent process, including a first-time poll at the Regional Coordinating Council.

Mr Gyamfi, a Procurement Officer at the Old Tafo Municipal Assembly, assured that the regional executives have demonstrated quality leadership and will ensure a free, fair, and transparent election process.

“We want to assure all aspirants and members that we are committed to upholding the principles of fairness, transparency, and accountability,” Mr Gyamfi disclosed.

He urged aspirants to be guided by the guidelines for the elections and uphold the dignity of the Association, adding that the outcome will shape CLOGSAG’s future in the region.
