The Educate Her Coalition has successfully held a high-level engagement and lobbying meeting with United Nations Population Fund Liberia, aimed at strengthening collaboration and deepening strategic partnerships to advance girls’ education across the country.

The meeting brought together key stakeholders committed to improving educational outcomes for girls, with members of the Coalition actively contributing to discussions. Representatives of ROCH, as part of the Coalition, played a significant role in articulating priorities and advocating for inclusive, equitable access to education for all girls in Liberia.

Central to the engagement was the presentation of key findings from the National Policy on Girls’ Education (NPGE) full report. Participants examined the progress made since the policy’s implementation, while also addressing persistent challenges that continue to hinder access, retention, and completion rates for girls within the education system.

The discussions further highlighted the urgency of reviewing and updating the policy framework as it approaches its 2026 endline. Stakeholders emphasized the importance of ensuring that the revised policy reflects emerging realities, aligns with global education targets, and effectively responds to the evolving needs of girls, particularly those in vulnerable and marginalized communities.

In addition, the meeting explored opportunities for collective action and reinforced the need for stronger partnerships among government institutions, development agencies, and civil society organizations. Institutions such as the Ministry of Education Liberia, UNESCO, UNICEF, and UNFPA were recognized as critical partners in driving sustainable progress in girls’ education.

Participants reaffirmed their shared commitment to creating a more inclusive and supportive educational environment that empowers every girl to reach her full potential. The Coalition underscored that sustained advocacy, policy reform, and strategic collaboration remain essential to achieving lasting impact.

The Educate Her Coalition concluded the meeting with a renewed sense of purpose, pledging to intensify efforts toward building a brighter future where every girl in Liberia has equal access to quality education and opportunities for growth.
