The Our Lady of Grace Senior High School has honored the late queen mother of Mamponteng, Nana Kyerewa Akenten II, by naming a newly built guest house after her.

The Nana Kyerew Akenten II Memorial Guest House was funded by US-based philanthropists Warren and Mary Lynn Staley.

The state-of-the-art facility, constructed by Fapem Constructions, features executive accommodation, conference centers, a spacious car park, and a restaurant, among other amenities.

Speaking at the opening ceremony on Saturday , the Headmaster of OLAG, Reverend Father Silvester Frimpong, hailed the late queen and chiefs of Mamponteng for their support in providing land for the school’s development.

“The late queen ruled from 1976 to 2024, and it was under her leadership and support that the community donated 38 acres of land for the school’s development,” he said.

He note the guest house is open to the public.

The CEO of Fapem Constructions, Emmanuel Boakye Fapem, said the facility was constructed with love to serve the community.

He commended the financiers, Warren and Mary Lynn Staley, for their continuous support to the school and the community.

He pledged his commitment to offering the best service to the school anytime hes called upon to serve
