The District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Atwima Kwanwoma District, Hon. Grace Agyemang Asamoah, has gained international recognition after winning the prestigious “Most Outstanding Female Leader in Local Governance and Public Service Administration” award at the 3rd edition of the She Achievers Award held in Kigali, Rwanda.
The award ceremony, which took place at the elegant M Hotel Kigali, brought together distinguished women leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and professionals from across Africa and other parts of the world to celebrate women who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and dedication in their respective sectors.

Hon. Agyemang Asamoah received the honour from the Business Executive Group, organisers of the She Achievers Awards, an international initiative that recognises and celebrates women who are making remarkable contributions in governance, public administration, business leadership, and community development.
The recognition marks another significant milestone in the leadership journey of the Atwima Kwanwoma District Chief Executive, whose work in local governance continues to attract admiration both within Ghana and beyond. The award also represents the third major international recognition she has received within ten months of assuming office, reflecting her growing influence and impact in public service leadership.

Speaking after receiving the award, Hon. Agyemang Asamoah expressed profound appreciation to the organisers for acknowledging her efforts and dedication to service. She emphasised that leadership should always be focused on improving the lives of people and ensuring sustainable development within communities.
According to her, effective leadership must remain people-centered, driven by compassion, commitment, and a strong sense of responsibility toward the welfare of citizens.
She also used the opportunity to encourage women across Africa and beyond to pursue their ambitions with confidence and perseverance, noting that determination and hard work remain key to achieving success.
“Women must continue to push harder and remain determined in whatever field they find themselves. Where one comes from should never limit the heights one can attain. Hard work always brings rewards,” she stated.
Hon. Agyemang Asamoah further commended the organisers of the She Achievers Awards for creating a global platform that highlights and celebrates the achievements of women who are making meaningful contributions to governance and professional leadership.
She was accompanied to the ceremony by the District Coordinating Director of the Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly, Alhaji Mohammed Shaibu, together with other officials from the Assembly.

The District Chief Executive also expressed gratitude to the President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, for the confidence reposed in her and for the opportunity to serve as the District Chief Executive of the Atwima Kwanwoma District.
She reaffirmed her unwavering commitment to working closely with stakeholders, traditional authorities, and residents of the district to accelerate development and improve the living standards of the people.
The international recognition further strengthens Hon. Grace Agyemang Asamoah’s reputation as a dynamic and visionary leader in local governance, whose dedication to service continues to earn her both national and global recognition.
