The Ghanaians In Qatar Association has issued a press release assuring its members of their safety while encouraging calm, discipline, and faith amid recent security developments reported across the State of Qatar and the wider region.

In a statement dated March 3, 2026, and signed by Chairman Bernard Quaicoe, the Association called on members to remain vigilant but composed, emphasizing the importance of unity within the Ghanaian community in Doha and across Qatar.

The leadership of GiQa acknowledged and commended the continued preparedness and coordination efforts of the Qatari authorities, noting that their proactive measures have helped maintain public safety and national stability.

The press release advised members to rely strictly on verified information from official government and embassy channels and to refrain from circulating unverified messages, videos, or rumours that could create unnecessary fear or confusion.

GiQa further encouraged members to check on one another and promote calm, informed discussions within their families and social networks. The Association reiterated that as law-abiding residents in Qatar, all members must comply fully with official directives, adhere to safety advisories, and prioritize both personal and collective security.

Reaffirming its commitment to unity, responsibility, and mutual support, the Association expressed confidence that the Ghanaian community would navigate the current period with wisdom and discipline.

The statement concluded with a prayerful message, seeking divine protection for members, their families, and the State of Qatar, and urging all to remain safe, informed, and united.
