CONCERN YOUTH OF SEKYERE KUMAWU

The attention of the aforementioned group has been drawn to a Press release/conference allegedly coming from a group of individuals believed to be sympathizers of Sekyere Kumawu NPP with a heading,

*Reference:*
“DO NOT REAPPOINT MR SAMUEL ADDAI AGYEKUM AS DISTRICT CHIEF EXECUTIVE OF SEKYERE KUMAWU” signed by one Mr Ofosu George as the convenor of the group.

As interested parties, we deemed it fit to air our views on this very issue or development in our constituency, and to also render unqualified apology to HIS EXCELLENCY THE PRESIDENT, NANA ADDO DANQUAH AKUFFO ADDO, OUR NATIONAL EXECUTIVES, OUR REGIONAL EXECUTIVES, OUR DCE, THE CONSTITUENCY EXECUTIVES AND THE ENTIRE SYMPATHIZERS OF NPP, on behalf this group for the gross disrespect shown towards them by the organizers of this Press conference, especially in the last sentence of their last paragraph which reads “WE SHALL NOT HIDE OUR DISPLEASURE IF MR SAMUEL AGYEKUM IS REAPPOINTED BY THE PRESIDENT”

We the ‘CONCERN YOUTH OF SEKYERE KUMAWU’ want to state emphatically that, all the allegations raised against the DCE are palpably false, malicious, lack merit and as such, we’re calling on all well-meaning Ghanaians especially, the NPP Fraternity to disregard these claims and treat it with all the contempt it deserves. We make this urgent call based on the following reasons:

▪ To start with, the allege fracas going on between our MP and Hon Samuel Addai Agyekum [DCE] as claimed by the said group is very false, baseless and a calculated attempt to create an enmity between the two leaders and by extension, their supporters from the same party [NPP] that these leaders belong.

▪We make this averment because what we saw and witnessed during the campaign era proves otherwise!

These two leaders [DCE and MP] were found together going on health walk, campaigning with party executives and other individuals as the Party Chairman, Secretary, Lawyer Edward Osei, Dr Bannor and others in towns like Bodomase, Kumawu, Woraso among others, hence the need to disregard this claim. We have enough empirical evidence in the forms of pictures, audios and videos to buttresses this claim.

▪We want to point out also that, the votes earned by the party in Kumawu Constituency truly reflect on the true performance of our government/party headed by President Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo.

▪It must be stated in all honesty that, there was no attempt whatsoever by our affable DCE to sabotage or gerrmander his own party to lose votes in the 2020 elections as these alleged unscrupulous persons seeking to create a brawl and division through propagation of false facts

▪The government of His excellency the President, through the DCE has blessed Kumawuman with very numerous projects. Below are some of said the projects which have benefitted and continue to benefit the people of Kumawu in greater ways

1. TWO WARE HOUSES UNDER 1D1W PROJECT

2. OVER 20 BOREHOLES WITHIN THE CONSTITUENCY(BREWAMU ENCLAVE)

3. COMPLETION OF THE NEW STORES AT KUMAWU

4. FIRST EVER HEALTH FACILITIES AT ABOTANSO AND PEPEASE

5. A NEW POLICE STATION AT AKOTOSU

6. FIRST EVER SERVICE FIRE STATION AT KUMAWU ZONGO

7. ONGOING BODOMASE POLICE STATION

8. ONGOING OFFICE COMPLEX AT KUMAWU STATION FOR COMMERCIAL BANK, NIA OFFICE AND POST OFFICE,

9. A NEW DISTRICT FACTORY UNDER 1D1F PROJECT LOCATED AT TEMANTE

among others… It was as result of this brilliant performance that won him THE BEST PERFORMING DCE IN ASHANTI REGION, and in fact, it’s captured on record that this DCE was found in almost all the TV and Radio stations propagating the good works of NPP in general, and President Nana Addo Dankwa in particular.

We send some huge thanks to the President in appreciation of what he has done for our communities and its people, through his competent and selfless DCE and all the other leaders and members of the NPP family in Kumawu

▪ Again, the DCE financially supported the party in diverse ways.

1. He organized the *Assembly* *caucus* of the party in the constituency

2. Branded cars to be used in the campaign, sensitize the electorate, and on election used same to convey people to polling centers to to canvass votes for the party.

Ʒ. He supported the door-door campaign of the various youth groups in the constituency including Alpha Patriots, Concern Youths etc,

5. Donated a brand NEW PRINTER to the party’s parliamentary candidate( Hon Atta Basoah) to support his campaign and the party. In fact, this donation was personally received by the current MP himself.

To this end, we want to urge all Ghanaians, Party faithfuls, indigenes of Sekyere Kumawu, both home and abroad to once again treat these allegations as false, maligning, denigrating, scandalous, vexatious annd with the contempt it deserves, since all constituents of Kumawu are living in harmony and working together for NPP to break the 8 and mother Ghana!!!
