Hon. Samuel Amponsah has officially announced the conclusion of his tenure as Presiding Member of the Amansie South District Assembly, bringing to an end two successive terms of dedicated service to the district. In a formal notice of transition, he expressed profound gratitude to colleagues and stakeholders while declaring his intention to contest as the Parliamentary Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the Manso Adubia Constituency.

Hon. Amponsah, who served a four-year tenure in the leadership position, stated that after careful consideration, he has decided not to seek re-election as Presiding Member. He described his time in office as an immense honour and a period marked by collaboration, unity, and shared responsibility in advancing the development agenda of the district.

Reflecting on his years of service, he extended heartfelt appreciation to his colleague Honourable Assembly Members for the trust and confidence reposed in him throughout his tenure. He also acknowledged the strong working relationship he enjoyed with the District Chief Executive, whose cooperation and support, he noted, significantly enhanced the Assembly’s effectiveness.

The outgoing Presiding Member further commended the District Coordinating Director and the Assembly staff for their professionalism, diligence, and unwavering commitment to duty. He paid special tribute to Nananom for their wisdom, guidance, and encouragement, which he said played a vital role in fostering peace and progress within the district.

Hon. Amponsah emphasized that the achievements recorded during his tenure were the result of collective effort and mutual respect among all stakeholders. He expressed pride in the Assembly’s accomplishments and the spirit of unity that characterized its work over the years.

As he transitions into a new phase of public service, Hon. Amponsah formally declared that his focus and energy are now directed toward contesting as the Parliamentary Candidate of the NPP for the Manso Adubia Constituency. He indicated that his ultimate aim is to serve as Member of Parliament and continue contributing to the development of the area at the national level.

He also extended his best wishes to all Honourable Members who intend to contest for the position of Presiding Member, expressing hope that the process would be peaceful, transparent, and guided by the best interests of the district.
