The Ashanti Regional Minister, Frank Amoakohene, has reiterated his unwavering commitment to youth empowerment and moral development after gracing the official launch of two inspirational books authored by Jonathan Ebo Quaye at the PENSA Auditorium of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

The event, which attracted students, clergy, academics and invited guests, saw the unveiling of Classy but Decent: Lessons for Young People and Silencing Audio Porn: Guarding Your Mind Against Degrading Music. The two publications address contemporary moral challenges confronting young people and advocate discipline, modesty, self-awareness and intentional living as essential tools for personal growth and national transformation.

In his remarks, Dr. Amoakohene underscored the critical role of character formation in shaping a responsible and visionary generation. He noted that while academic excellence remains important, it must be complemented by strong moral values and mental discipline to produce well-rounded leaders capable of contributing meaningfully to society. According to him, safeguarding the mind against harmful influences—particularly through music, media and digital platforms—is vital in today’s rapidly evolving social landscape.

The Regional Minister commended Pastor Jonathan Ebo Quaye for courageously addressing sensitive issues affecting the youth and for using literature as a tool to promote faith-based values and mentorship. He described the books as timely interventions that provide practical guidance to young people navigating peer pressure, societal expectations and the influence of popular culture.

In a practical show of support for the initiative, Dr. Amoakohene purchased sixty copies of the books for distribution to selected students present at the event. He emphasized that investing in reading and mentorship initiatives is one of the most impactful ways to build a disciplined and forward-thinking generation. He encouraged the beneficiaries to read the books diligently and apply the lessons in their daily lives.

Pastor Jonathan Ebo Quaye, in his address, expressed gratitude to the Regional Minister and all stakeholders who supported the launch. He reiterated his commitment to guiding the next generation through knowledge, faith and strong ethical principles, stressing that the future of Ghana depends largely on the values instilled in its youth today.

The ceremony concluded with renewed calls for parents, educators, religious leaders and policymakers to collaborate in nurturing young people who are not only academically competent but also morally upright and socially responsible. The event served as a powerful reminder that sustainable national development begins with intentional investment in the minds and character of the youth.
