
The Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly has unanimously re-elected Hon. Anthony Kwame Nsiah as its Presiding Member (PM) for the fourth consecutive time, reaffirming the Assembly’s unwavering confidence in his leadership and dedication to duty.

The election, held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, was conducted in a peaceful and orderly atmosphere during a brief but significant ceremony at the Assembly’s premises. Hon. Nsiah secured 100 per cent of the votes cast, an emphatic endorsement by Members of the House and a clear demonstration of unity and continuity within the Assembly.
His fourth consecutive re-election underscores the sustained trust and satisfaction of Assembly Members in his ability to preside over proceedings with fairness, competence and integrity. As Presiding Member, he is responsible for steering the affairs of the August House during sittings, ensuring that deliberations are conducted in accordance with established laws, standing orders and democratic principles.

Speaking to the media at the gathering the District Chief Executive, Hon. Grace Asamoah Agyemang, commended Assembly Members for the unity, cooperation and decorum displayed throughout the process. She described the unanimous decision as a strong vote of confidence in Hon. Nsiah’s leadership and a positive signal of stability within the Assembly.

She further reaffirmed her commitment to working closely with the Presiding Member and all stakeholders to advance the district’s development agenda, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, education, health, sanitation, agriculture and local economic growth.

In his acceptance remarks, Hon. Anthony Kwame Nsiah expressed profound gratitude to Members for the overwhelming endorsement and continued trust. He pledged to discharge his duties with renewed commitment, impartiality and transparency, assuring the House of his readiness to foster inclusive participation and constructive deliberations.

The Assembly congratulated Hon. Nsiah on his historic fourth consecutive term and reiterated its readiness to collaborate effectively in pursuit of sustainable growth and development across the district.
