The Suame Tetelestai Assembly of the The Church of Pentecost has conferred a Distinguished Service Honour on Elder Dr. Nana K. Gyasi in recognition of his fifteen years of dedicated and exemplary service as an Area Executive Member in the Suame Area.

The colourful and spirit-filled ceremony, held at the Tetelestai Church of Pentecost Auditorium in Suame under the theme “Mo Ne Yɔ” (You Have Done Well), drew a large congregation of ministers, traditional leaders, security officials, transport union executives, church members, as well as the honouree’s business partners and workers, all of whom gathered to witness and celebrate the milestone.

A major highlight of the event was the reading of the comprehensive profile and testimony of Elder Dr. Nana K. Gyasi. The citation detailed his spiritual journey, leadership roles, years of faithful stewardship, and his immense contributions to church growth and community development. The moving account of his dedication, humility, generosity, and unwavering commitment to the work of God received loud applause from the congregation.

In his acceptance speech, Elder Dr. Nana K. Gyasi expressed heartfelt gratitude to God and the leadership of the church for the recognition. He described the honour as both humbling and inspiring, noting that his service over the past fifteen years had been guided by faith, teamwork, sacrifice, and divine direction. He reaffirmed his commitment to continue serving diligently for the advancement of God’s Kingdom.

The ceremony was graced by several distinguished personalities, including Chief of Agric Nzema, Nana Nkansa Boadu Ayeboafo Odiamono; Baffour Kantankrakyi, Otumfuo’s Chief Linguist; and Professor Opoku Onyina, former Chairman of the Church of Pentecost. Also present were ministers of the Gospel, both retired and actively serving, alongside national and regional executives of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU). Among them were the National Chairman, Nana Nimako Bresiamah; the Ashanti Regional Chairman, Alhaji Sumaila Boakye; and the Ashanti Regional Police Commander, DCOP Arthur Osei Akoto.

Delivering a goodwill message, Nana Nkansa Boadu commended Elder Dr. Nana K. Gyasi for his humility, hard work, and selfless dedication to the service of God and humanity. He urged members of the congregation to remain steadfast in their Christian faith and to allow Jesus Christ to lead their lives, emphasising that success in business or the accumulation of wealth is meaningless without Christ as one’s personal Saviour.

As part of the ceremony, citations and special gifts were presented to Elder Dr. Nana K. Gyasi and his wife by the Tetelestai Women’s Fellowship, the Men’s Fellowship, and representatives from various church districts, including Offinso and Amanfrom. The presentations symbolised appreciation for their enduring support, sacrifice, and commitment to the growth of the church.

The event concluded with prayers and words of encouragement, marking a significant chapter in the life of a devoted church leader whose distinguished service continues to inspire the Suame Area and beyond.
