The project forms part of the government’s broader agenda to strengthen healthcare delivery nationwide through sustained investment in education, skills development, and research.

Addressing a gathering of traditional authorities, government officials, and residents at the sod-cutting ceremony, Dr. Amoakohene described the project as transformational for Drobonso and the entire Ashanti Region. He emphasized that the establishment of the college will not only expand access to quality tertiary education but also serve as a centre of excellence for health training and innovation.

According to the Regional Minister, the new institution is expected to produce highly skilled professionals equipped to respond to the growing healthcare needs of communities across the region and beyond. He reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to investing in human capital development as a cornerstone for national progress.

The ceremony was attended by the Drobonsohene, the Honourable Member of Parliament for the area, the District Chief Executive, and the Deputy Administrator of GETFund. The institution will also contribute to research and professional training aimed at improving health outcomes across Ghana.
