Asante Mampong, Ashanti Region — In the lead-up to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primaries in Asante Mampong, aspiring candidates are intensifying efforts to win the support of delegates. Among the front-runners is Beatrice Owarewaa Siaw, an American-based native of the constituency, who has officially declared her intention to contest for the NPP parliamentary seat and has commenced extensive consultations with party delegates across the area.

During her interactions with delegates, Madam Siaw expressed her unwavering commitment to the development and progress of Asante Mampong. She emphasized that her decision to contest stems from a desire to bring renewed transformation to the constituency, building on years of personal contributions to local development.
“I want to serve the people of Mampong and help accelerate the development of our community,” Madam Siaw stated. “Although I am not yet a Member of Parliament, I have always viewed myself as a servant of this constituency, consistently contributing to its growth and improvement.”
Highlighting her track record, Madam Siaw pointed to several initiatives she has financed independently. These include the clearing of a decades-old refuse dump at Mampong Apostolic, the construction of additional wards at the Mampong Government Hospital, and the establishment of the Mampong Tadie AstroTurf facility, among other projects. She stressed that these interventions reflect her commitment to tangible development that directly benefits the people.
While acknowledging the efforts of the current and past Members of Parliament, Madam Siaw argued that much more needs to be done to elevate the living standards and opportunities for residents of Asante Mampong. “The current MP and past MPs have made valuable contributions, but the constituency still faces many challenges. I believe we can achieve greater progress, and I am prepared to lead that change,” she said.
As she continues her delegate engagement tour, Madam Siaw urged party members to evaluate her track record and vision for the constituency as they prepare to vote in the NPP primaries. She pledged that, if given the mandate, she would prioritize development, healthcare, infrastructure, and youth empowerment, ushering in a new era of growth for Asante Mampong.
With the primaries drawing closer, the contest for the NPP parliamentary seat in Asante Mampong is shaping up to be highly competitive, with delegates playing a critical role in determining the party’s candidate for the next general elections. Madam Siaw’s proactive engagement strategy and development-focused agenda position her as a formidable contender in the race.
