The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly, Hon. Grace Agyemang Asamoah, has been honoured with a prestigious international humanitarian award in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the welfare of society. The award was conferred by the International Ministerial Council of Churches and Bible Colleges (IAMCCBC), headquartered in Houston, USA.
IAMCCBC, which boasts over 150 campuses worldwide and a membership exceeding 11,000 across 60 nations, recognised Hon. Agyemang Asamoah as a distinguished member of the International LAW–USA for her unwavering commitment to supporting humanity and championing social development.

Presenting the award, Rev. Emmanuel Boachie, African Coordinator and President of the Ghana Chapter of IAMCCBC, led a delegation on behalf of the Global President, Rev. Mark Randall Brown. He highlighted that the Council is a non-partisan organisation that identifies and honours individuals who demonstrate exceptional dedication to humanitarian causes.

Rev. Boachie revealed that four nominees from Ghana were initially considered, two were shortlisted, and Hon. Grace Agyemang Asamoah emerged as the recipient due to her remarkable record of humanitarian service in both public and private capacities. He emphasised that the award would be implemented in two phases, with the initial phase recognising the DCE, and the second phase planned for a later date in a different capacity. He urged public officers to emulate her example by supporting the vulnerable and underserved in society.

In her acceptance speech, an emotional Hon. Grace Agyemang Asamoah described the award not as a personal achievement but as a testament to collective effort, shared vision, and dedicated service to her community. She stressed that meaningful work, when carried out with integrity, passion, and a genuine desire to serve others, transcends geographical boundaries.

The DCE dedicated the honour to the people of Atwima Kwanwoma, acknowledging their trust, resilience, and collaborative spirit. She expressed profound gratitude to IAMCCBC and its partners for recognising her work on an international platform, noting that the recognition serves both as a motivation and a challenge to continue advancing inclusive development, particularly for women, youth, and marginalised groups.

The ceremony was attended by the Presiding Member of the Assembly, Hon. Anthony Kwame Nsiah, assembly members, staff of the District Assembly, and the family and loved ones of the DCE, who all joined in celebrating the remarkable achievement.

The recognition of Hon. Grace Agyemang Asamoah underscores the growing global acknowledgement of local leaders in Ghana who are committed to transformative leadership and humanitarian service.
