
The Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has reaffirmed the Government’s unwavering commitment to education and youth development in the Ashanti Region during the 25th Anniversary Celebration and Speech and Prize-Giving Day of St. Louis Senior High School.

Addressing students, staff, alumnae, and invited guests at the colourful ceremony, Hon. Dr. Amoakohene described his participation in the milestone event as a privilege, noting that the celebration reflected the school’s enduring legacy of excellence, discipline, and academic achievement.

The Regional Minister was joined by several high-profile dignitaries, including the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts and Member of Parliament, Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie; the Minority Chief Whip and Member of Parliament, Hon. Patricia Appiagyei; the President of the Ghana Journalists Association, Albert Dwomfour; and a former Deputy Chief of Staff, Johnny Osei Kofi, alongside other distinguished guests.

Speaking on behalf of His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama, Hon. Dr. Amoakohene assured the school community of government’s continued support for educational development across the region. He highlighted ongoing infrastructure improvements at St. Louis Senior High School, made possible through the Ghana Education Trust Fund.

According to him, the school is currently benefiting from the construction of a modern two-storey, 12-unit classroom block designed to expand instructional space, improve the learning environment, and accommodate the school’s increasing student population.

He emphasized that government remains committed to partnering with educational institutions to strengthen infrastructure, promote academic excellence, and create opportunities that will enable young people to reach their full potential.
Hon. Dr. Amoakohene concluded by stressing that sustained investment in education remains central to national development, adding that collective efforts toward improving schools will help build a stronger future for both the Ashanti Region and Ghana as a whole.
