The Amansie South District Assembly has officially cut sod for the construction of a District Chief Executive’s bungalow and a ten-unit toilet facility at Manso Adubia Senior High School in the Amansie South District of the Ashanti Region.

The sod-cutting ceremony, held at the school premises, marked a significant step in the Assembly’s efforts to improve administrative infrastructure and enhance sanitation facilities within educational institutions in the district.

Addressing stakeholders at the ceremony, the District Chief Executive, Hon. Benjamin Marfo, stated that the project forms part of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government’s broader development agenda aimed at improving infrastructure and strengthening public service delivery at the local level. He explained that the initiative reflects the Assembly’s commitment to supporting education and creating an enabling environment for effective administration and human capital development.

Hon. Marfo further emphasized that improving basic infrastructure in schools remains a priority, as it directly impacts teaching, learning, and the overall well-being of students and staff. He assured residents and school authorities of the Assembly’s resolve to continue initiating projects that promote development and improve living and working conditions across the district.

The Headmaster of Manso Adubia Senior High School, Mr. Theophilus Yeboah, expressed profound gratitude to the District Assembly and the government for the intervention. He noted that the construction of the ten-unit toilet facility would significantly improve sanitation on campus, reduce health risks, and create a cleaner and more conducive learning environment for students and staff.

According to him, the project is expected to positively influence academic activities and enhance overall school management.
He added that the school had long needed improved sanitation facilities, and the project would go a long way in addressing challenges associated with overcrowding and hygiene, particularly in a growing student population.

The contractor for the project, Alhaji Sulemana Musah Jawura, assured stakeholders of his commitment to delivering quality work in accordance with the project specifications. He stated that the construction would be completed within the three-month period stipulated in the contract, barring any unforeseen challenges.
