Hon. Grace Agyemang Asamoah Joins Top Government Officials at 10th Italian Cuisine Week in Accra

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima Kwanwoma in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Grace Agyemang Asamoah, was among a distinguished list of high-profile Ghanaian officials who graced the 10th edition of the Italian Cuisine Week in the World. The prestigious diplomatic and cultural event was hosted by the Italian Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Laura Ranalli, at her residence on Drake Avenue Close in the Airport Residential Area, Accra, last Wednesday.

Hon. Asamoah received a special invitation from H.E. Ranalli and the Italian Trade Commissioner, Mr. Luigi Puca, reflecting the growing recognition of her leadership, influence, and her commitment to fostering international relations that can drive socio-economic opportunities for the Atwima Kwanwoma District.

The event brought together prominent government officials, including the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, and the Minister of Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu. They were joined by members of the diplomatic corps, business leaders, international development partners, and representatives from various sectors who gathered to celebrate Italy’s rich culinary heritage.

The Italian Cuisine Week in the World, celebrated globally, is an annual initiative aimed at promoting authentic Italian gastronomy, enhancing cultural exchanges, and strengthening bilateral relations between Italy and participating nations. The 10th edition placed special emphasis on sustainability, culinary innovation, and the global appreciation of Italian food traditions.

Hon. Grace Agyemang Asamoah expressed her appreciation to the Italian Embassy for the invitation and commended the organizers for sustaining an initiative that promotes cultural diversity and diplomatic cooperation. She noted that platforms like the Italian Cuisine Week open doors for strategic partnerships, investment prospects, tourism promotion, and mutual learning between Ghana and Italy.

 

The evening featured a wide array of classic Italian dishes expertly prepared by celebrated chefs, immersive cultural interactions, and high-level networking among diplomats and policymakers.

Hon. Asamoah’s participation underscored her active engagement in building relationships that can translate into developmental opportunities for her district. Her presence also highlighted the increasing involvement of Ghanaian local government leaders in international cultural and economic dialogues.
