In a resounding recognition of his selfless service and unwavering commitment to humanity, Hon. Frederick Kwadwo Nkansah, affectionately known as “Yentumi”, has been honoured at the 2025 Floodlight Media Excellence Awards for his exceptional humanitarian contributions and dedication to uplifting the marginalized in society.

The prestigious awards ceremony, held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, brought together notable figures from Ghana’s media, political, and business circles to celebrate individuals whose work has had a transformative impact on communities and the nation at large.
Hon. Frederick Nkansah, who serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Nkansah 83 Farms, was celebrated as a beacon of hope for the underprivileged and a champion of rural empowerment. The Humanitarian Achievement Award bestowed upon him recognized his relentless efforts in creating opportunities for the youth, supporting deprived communities, and speaking for the voiceless in Ghanaian society.
The citation accompanying the award highlighted his “exceptional service and dedication to the rejected in society,” acknowledging how his leadership and philanthropy have inspired hope in countless individuals across rural Ghana. Through his tireless community initiatives, he has provided scholarships, agricultural support, and employment opportunities to many, particularly in the Amansie West District and other parts of the Ashanti Region.
Under his leadership, Nkansah 83 Farms has grown beyond a thriving agribusiness into a vehicle for social change — offering sustainable livelihoods to young farmers and promoting food security. His initiative has helped reduce rural unemployment while fostering economic independence among the youth, especially women and school leavers.
In his remarks after receiving the honour, Hon. Nkansah expressed deep gratitude to the organizers for acknowledging his humanitarian efforts.
“This award is not just for me but for every young person who believes that service to others is the highest calling. I am humbled by this recognition, and I dedicate it to the hardworking people in our communities who continue to inspire my journey,” he said.
He further reaffirmed his commitment to continue using his resources and influence to transform lives, particularly in rural and deprived communities.
“I believe real leadership is about empathy and impact. We must all do our part to empower the voiceless and create a society where everyone has a fair chance to succeed,” he added.
Hon. Frederick Nkansah’s humanitarian footprint stretches beyond philanthropy into leadership and public service. A former Assembly Member for the Mpatoam Electoral Area and a 2024 Parliamentary Aspirant for the Amansie West Constituency on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), “Yentumi” has consistently demonstrated that leadership is about action, compassion, and integrity.
His life and work have earned him admiration from both the grassroots and national level, with many describing him as a “man of the people” — one who translates promises into tangible change.
The Floodlight Media Excellence Awards, now one of Ghana’s most respected award schemes, continues to honour individuals and institutions that exemplify excellence and service in their respective fields. In recognizing Hon. Nkansah, the organizers reaffirmed their belief that true leadership is defined not by status or wealth, but by impact and compassion.
As the night drew to a close, applause filled the auditorium in acknowledgment of a man whose legacy continues to inspire and transform lives across the country. Hon. Frederick Kwadwo Nkansah, known affectionately as “Yentumi”, remains a shining example of purposeful leadership — one driven by service, humanity, and a vision for a better Ghana.
