The Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya North Constituency, Hon. Frank Yeboah, has extended his continuous support to the education sector with a generous donation of GH¢20,000 to the J.A. Kufuor TVET and STEM Senior High School at Dabaa to begin the construction of a modern toilet and bathroom facility for students.

The timely intervention follows a passionate appeal made by the Headmaster of the school, Mr. Comax Takyi, who expressed deep concern about the lack of proper sanitation facilities, which had become a major challenge affecting both staff and students as the school prepares to admit its first batch of learners.

Speaking at a short ceremony held at the school premises, Hon. Frank Yeboah emphasized the importance of ensuring that every educational institution under his constituency provides a conducive learning environment. He said the provision of decent toilet and bathroom facilities is crucial to maintaining discipline, promoting good hygiene, and enhancing the overall well-being of students and staff.

According to the MP, his support to the J.A. Kufuor TVET and STEM SHS forms part of his broader commitment to promote quality education and infrastructure development across the Atwima Nwabiagya North Constituency. He noted that the school, named after Ghana’s former President John Agyekum Kufuor, deserved all the support it could get to grow into a model institution that would reflect the excellence and legacy of the man it honors.

Hon. Yeboah commended the Headmaster, staff, and the local education authorities for their dedication to duty and assured them that this would not be his last contribution toward the school’s development. He pledged to continue assisting in other critical areas, including classroom expansion, ICT facilities, and staff accommodation, as the institution grows. He also encouraged the newly admitted students to take their academic work seriously, reminding them that education is the key to unlocking their potential and transforming their lives.

The Headmaster of the school, Mr. Comax Takyi, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the MP for his swift and thoughtful response to their appeal. He described the donation as a “timely intervention,” noting that the absence of proper sanitation facilities had posed serious challenges to the school’s daily operations. He said the support would go a long way to improve hygiene and provide comfort for students, especially as the school is scheduled to reopen officially on the 18th of October, 2025.

Mr. Takyi assured the MP and the entire community that the funds would be used effectively to commence and complete the toilet and bathroom project within the shortest possible time. He further appealed to other stakeholders, philanthropists, and old students to complement the MP’s effort by contributing their quota toward the development of the institution.

The J.A. Kufuor TVET and STEM Senior High School, which was built under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government to honor former President John Agyekum Kufuor, stands as a beacon of technical and science-based education in the Atwima Nwabiagya North Constituency. The school’s establishment in Dabaa — the hometown of the former President — not only symbolizes his enduring legacy but also underscores the government’s vision of expanding access to practical and modern education.

Residents and opinion leaders in the area have lauded Hon. Frank Yeboah for his continuous commitment to supporting education and community development. They described his donation as an act of true leadership that reflects compassion, foresight, and dedication to the progress of his constituency.

The commencement of the toilet and bathroom project is expected to bring significant relief to students and staff of the J.A. Kufuor TVET and STEM SHS, ensuring a cleaner, healthier, and more dignified learning environment as the institution begins its academic journey.
