The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima Mponua, Hon. Ishaq Ibrahim, has reaffirmed his commitment to fostering inclusive and sustainable development in the district after engaging with two influential groups on Monday — the Association of Cocoa, Coffee and Shea Nuts Farmers and the Association of Beauticians.

The back-to-back meetings, held at the District Assembly premises, underscored the DCE’s conviction that collaborative partnerships with stakeholders remain central to driving growth and improving livelihoods across Atwima Mponua.

Farmers Laud DCE’s Commitment to Agriculture

The first delegation, led by the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the Association of Cocoa, Coffee and Shea Nuts Farmers, commended the DCE for his consistent support toward the welfare of farmers. The group assured Hon. Ibrahim of their readiness to work hand in hand with the Assembly to boost crop production, improve market access, and expand livelihood opportunities for farmers.

According to the farmers, agriculture remains the backbone of the local economy, and strengthening farmer-government collaboration is vital to sustaining food security and ensuring fair incomes. They therefore pledged their full cooperation with initiatives from the Assembly aimed at modernizing agriculture and providing direct support to farmers.

Beauticians Express Willingness to Partner Assembly

Later in the day, the DCE received the Association of Beauticians, who highlighted their commitment to promoting skills development and community empowerment. The group expressed readiness to partner with the Assembly on vocational training programs, particularly for women and young people seeking to acquire employable skills.

The beauticians stressed that with strategic support and collaboration, the beauty and cosmetology industry could become a strong contributor to local job creation, especially in rural communities.

DCE Reaffirms Inclusive Development Agenda

Hon. Ibrahim, in his remarks, thanked both delegations for their show of solidarity and their willingness to contribute to the district’s progress. He emphasized that the Assembly remains committed to promoting inclusive growth, where farmers, artisans, and professionals from all walks of life play an active role in shaping the future of Atwima Mponua.

“Development cannot be driven by government alone. It requires unity, shared responsibility, and partnerships with stakeholders across all sectors,” the DCE said. “Together, we can build an Atwima Mponua where agriculture thrives, skills are developed, and opportunities abound for every resident.”

He further pledged to continue working closely with traditional authorities, business associations, youth groups, and civil society to deliver transformative projects that directly improve the living conditions of the people.

Building Bridges for Sustainable Growth

The separate engagements with farmers and beauticians demonstrated the DCE’s inclusive governance style, bridging the gap between government and grassroots stakeholders. Both groups left the meeting with renewed commitment to support the Assembly’s vision of building a prosperous, united, and sustainable Atwima Mponua District.
