The Member of Parliament (MP) for Bosome Freho Constituency, Hon. Nana Asafo-Adjei Ayeh, has brought smiles to the faces of parents and guardians at Nsueam No. 2 by donating 245 trunks, chop boxes, 10 exercise books and 5 note books each to Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in the community.

The donation, which formed part of the MP’s broader support programme for the 2024/2025 BECE graduates across the constituency, was described by many parents as a huge relief in the face of the growing cost of educational supplies.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Hon. Nana Asafo-Adjei Ayeh said the initiative was in fulfillment of a pledge he made to his constituents when he sought their mandate to represent them in Parliament. He emphasized that his vision is to invest in the future of the youth by prioritizing education, which he described as the most valuable legacy that can never be taken away. “This is a promise I made to the people of Bosome Freho, and I am glad to be fulfilling it. Education remains my top priority because it is the foundation of development. I want to see our young people excel academically, rise to become professionals, and contribute meaningfully to the growth of this constituency and Ghana at large,” he said.

The MP also encouraged the beneficiaries to remain focused on their education, urging them to avoid distractions and dedicate themselves to hard work. He further called on parents and guardians to continue playing their role in supporting their wards, stressing that the long-term development of Bosome Freho depends on producing educated leaders. “Mining and farming are important to our lives, but I want to see more of our children grow up to be doctors, nurses, teachers, engineers and lawyers. That is how Bosome Freho will become stronger and prouder,” he added.

Parents who received the items on behalf of their children were full of praise for the MP. They said the donation had come at a time when many households were struggling financially, and the support had lifted a major burden. “We are very grateful to Hon. Nana Asafo-Adjei Ayeh. Buying trunks, chop boxes and books is not easy in these times, but his generosity has made things lighter for us. May God bless him for thinking about the future of our children,” one parent said with excitement.

Teachers and community leaders at Nsueam No. 2 also commended the MP for the initiative, noting that it would not only ease financial challenges but also inspire the students to take their studies more seriously. They described the gesture as a landmark intervention in the constituency’s educational development.

The donation has since been hailed as a bold demonstration of Hon. Nana Asafo-Adjei Ayeh’s vision of making education the cornerstone of development in Bosome Freho, reinforcing his commitment to nurturing a generation of future leaders.
