MTN Ghana has officially launched DigiFest 2025, a month-long festival designed to promote digital inclusion, showcase innovation, and deepen customer engagement. The event marks another milestone in MTN’s journey toward building a bold, inclusive, and digitally empowered future for all Ghanaians.
The colorful launch ceremony in Accra attracted industry leaders, technology partners, innovators, and young people eager to experience the power of digital transformation. It was a vibrant celebration of creativity, opportunity, and the company’s growing portfolio of digital solutions.

In his address, Stephen Blewett, Chief Executive Officer of MTN Ghana, described DigiFest as both a celebration of the company’s achievements and a bold statement of its vision for the future. He emphasized that MTN is no longer simply a telecommunications provider but a digital company that continues to redefine customer experiences across multiple sectors. According to him, MTN has invested more than one billion dollars in Ghana’s digital infrastructure over the past five years, with a further two hundred and forty million dollars committed this year alone to expand connectivity and improve digital services. Blewett also highlighted MTN’s commitment to the next generation of innovators, pointing to the construction of a twenty-five million-dollar ICT Hub and the establishment of the MTN Digital Skills Academy as initiatives designed to prepare young Ghanaians for the future of work and enterprise.

Adding his voice, Ibrahim Misto, Chief Digital Officer of MTN Ghana, underscored the transformative role of technology and artificial intelligence in reshaping markets and the skills required to succeed. He explained that AI is no longer a distant concept but a tool redefining industries and everyday life. He noted that mobile gaming, once regarded as simple entertainment, has now evolved into a powerful platform for creativity, entrepreneurship, and global competition. Ghanaian youth, he said, are being equipped with the digital tools needed to innovate, connect, and compete on the world stage, opening doors to opportunities that were unimaginable a few years ago.
DigiFest 2025 has been carefully designed to offer participants a unique blend of education, innovation, and entertainment. From hackathons and live demonstrations of the myMTN App to interactive sessions on artificial intelligence, digital engagement activities, and quiz competitions, the festival promises something for everyone. It also provides a platform for technology leaders such as Samsung, Huawei, Unotelos, Abena AI, and Smart Home solutions to showcase new products and services, giving participants firsthand experience of the digital technologies shaping the future.

The festival forms part of MTN’s Ambition 2025 strategy, which seeks to position the company as a leader in digital solutions for Africa’s progress. By driving innovation, deepening customer experiences, and expanding access to digital tools, MTN Ghana continues to demonstrate its vision of ensuring that every Ghanaian has the opportunity to benefit from a modern, connected life. DigiFest 2025 therefore stands as a testament to MTN’s commitment to creating a digital society where inclusion, opportunity, and innovation thrive.
