In a determined effort to promote quality education and enhance early childhood learning, the Assembly Member for the Takorasi Electoral Area, Hon. Dominic Bonsu, has donated five (5) 32-inch LED Smart Television sets to five kindergarten schools within his electoral area.
The donation, valued at several thousands of Ghana Cedis, is aimed at equipping pupils with digital learning tools to align with Ghana’s evolving educational curriculum, which places strong emphasis on technology and visual learning. The presentation ceremony, though brief, was colourful and well-attended, with Hon. Bonsu joined by members of the Unit Committee to hand over the items.
The beneficiary schools are:
- Takorasi R/C Primary School
- Afraso D/A Basic School
- Takorasi Adventist Preparatory School
- Glory of God International School
- Green Leaf Educational Complex
Speaking to the media after the presentation, Hon. Dominic Bonsu underscored the importance of integrating technology into teaching and learning, particularly at the foundational stage of education.

“These smart TVs will help improve the children’s learning skills. With our curriculum focusing more on digital content, especially YouTube, this intervention will help them pick up lessons faster,” he stated.
He further appealed to the heads of the beneficiary schools to ensure the television sets are used strictly for educational purposes and maintained properly for long-term benefit. According to him, this initiative forms part of a series of educational interventions he has embarked on to raise the standard of education in the constituency.

On their part, the headteachers of the beneficiary schools expressed profound appreciation to Hon. Dominic Bonsu for his thoughtful gesture. They assured him and the community that the TVs would be used responsibly to improve teaching and learning outcomes among pupils.

The donation has been widely commended by parents, teachers, and community members, who described it as a timely intervention that will positively transform classroom instruction and provide pupils with more interactive and engaging learning experiences.

This initiative adds to Hon. Bonsu’s growing record of community development projects, cementing his commitment to investing in the future of children in the Takorasi Electoral Area.
